Cobre Valley Community Environmental Advisory Board

Mission Statement: “Share environmental knowledge, host bi-directional discussions, and report data back to build Cobre Valley community members capacity to work together towards a resilient and healthy future.”

As paid Board members, their role is to oversee project specifics, build community awareness, and help guide data sharing methods and strategies. CAB members agree to:

• Learn more about the project and research 

• Get up-to-date information

• Actively participate in the decision-making process

• Assist in interpreting environmental monitoring, exposure assessment, and risk data 

• Assist in the design of data report back materials

• Discuss community concerns 

• Come to meetings and actively participate.

• Encourage others to participate.

• Help us inform others about the project

• Provide information and expertise.

• Provide support
