Cobre Valley residents and friends are invited to come this Firewise Awareness event at Cobre Valley Rec Center, 4877 W Cypress Way, Miami, AZ 85539, Tuesday 22, 2025, from 10am to 3pm. Information tables will be available to talk and learn more about what you can do to firewise your home and property. Sponsored by Freeport McMoran Inc and the International Association of Fire Chiefs, food will be available and a demo firewise treatment will be conducted by the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management for an afternoon walk-thru. Invited presenters include Fire Marshal Dallas Lane from the Superior Fire Department, and Supervisor Tim Humphrey, Globe Fire Chief Gary Robinson and others to discuss preparations for this year's fire season.
