Globe, AZ Post-Flooding Response
On November 1st, 2025, after two consecutive flooding events in Globe-Miami Arizona, local Rethinking Wildfires, Floods and Health Promotora participated in a Food Distribution event organized by the Lion’s Club of Safford, Arizona. Club members from Globe and Miami supported the effort and helped distribute 160 Boxes with non-perishable food items, cooking oil and blankets, to community members affected by the floods and to the employees of businesses that lost their job due to flooding. We joined the effort to provide easy-to-understand information to protect people’s health after flooding events. Recipients were grateful to learn what they could do to protect their homes from potential environmental pollutants spread by the flooding.
